Meet Tilburg.ai

Tilburg.ai is an initiative launched by Tilburg University to integrate AI in education in a responsible manner. This initiative is supported by various schools within Tilburg University, with staff involvement from TSHD, TSB, TLS, TiSEM and TUNED IN.

What do we do?

We help you to integrate AI in education, by doing the following:

  • AI Tools
We build AI-driven applications (both student-facing and non-student-facing). If you have ideas about how AI could help improve the efficiency or quality of your work, we can build these for you. For example, we are currently working on an integrated chatbot in Canvas that allows students to interact with their course material.
  • Workshops and Interventions
    1) We assist with brainstorming and implementing AI into assignments. For instance, for the course ‘Marketing in Business for EBE,’ we created an assignment where students engage in a roleplay with ChatGPT to discover why certain brands in the past did not succeed, like Google Glass, for example.
    2) We present during lectures about AI or help lecturers build their slide deck about AI in your field and how to use it.
    3) Additionally, we offer tailored workshops for both faculty and students within the Tilburg University community. These workshops cover topics ranging from learning how to prompt to making an API call with LLMs for building your own web application. Interested in having such a workshop? Reach out to us!
  • Policy
Our workgroup assists the university in developing policies for integrating AI in education, including decisions on licenses, GDPR compliance, and opportunities for integrating AI into existing university software.
  • Our website
Finally, we promote open-source principles and share use cases, tools, and articles on our website, https://tilburg.ai/, so that everyone at the university can benefit from them!
