How can you stimulate the development of critical thinking in students?
LLM tools such as ChatGPT might help. We offer a practical workshop designed to help you teach your students to write with purpose and depth.
Join us to gain concrete examples and instructions on (re)designing assignments that foster critical thinking and effective use of LLM tools like ChatGPT.
Learning Goals
After successfully completing this workshop and practicing these skills in (re)-designing writing assignments, the participant will be able to…
- Recognize the impact of LLM tools’ functionalities on writing assignment assessment design.
- Identify what needs to be changed in their course learning goals and writing assignments by taking their own and others’ perspectives into account.
- Design or redesign writing assignments that incorporate both formative assessment and feedback processes, as well as summative assessment with a clear grading scheme.

- Target group: educational advisors, assessment practitioners, policy makers, program management team members, program curriculum team members, academic staff.
- The workshop is available in English
- The workshop is given to a maximum of 8 participants.
